Original music and custom scoring

Custom composition, scoring, and custom library tracks built for your brief. We pull from a 4,700+ track library for ideation, then write to fit. Every score package includes stem delivery and up to five rounds of review.

Sound design

Frame-accurate, narrative sound design for TV, digital, animation, and YouTube. We built the Golden State Warriors' Sounds of the Holidays from approximately 100 captured arena sounds — shoe squeaks, hoop swishes, ticket scans. That level of obsession is table stakes here.

Final mix to picture

The typical Swell deliverable. Send us your OMF or AAF. We send back final mix audio that elevates the whole spot — broadcast-compliant, platform-ready, no surprises at air. Specs covered: ATSC A/85, EBU R128, YouTube, Meta, Spotify.

Dialogue editing and ADR

Clean advertising dialogue is non-negotiable. We handle noise reduction, presence restoration, and ADR when the performance needs a re-do. Remote talent coordination and sync-match included. Learn more about our ADR process.

Voiceover recording and casting

In-studio and remote VO recording via Source-Connect. Talent casting and direction. We've cast and recorded voiceover for Atlassian, Hasbro, KQED, United Healthcare, Sweet Loren's, and dozens more.

Sonic branding

Music supervision and licensing

Search, license, and clear existing music for your campaign — or tap our Top Shelf Music catalog for culture-first, curated tracks direct from source. Pre-cleared rights, equitable artist deal terms, and music that hasn't already been licensed to three competitors. We've placed tracks for Nike, Meta, Amazon, the Obama Foundation × Jordan Brand, and the Golden State Warriors. Category exclusivity negotiable per project.


How it works: one session, start to air

  1. Kickoff — spotting session and brief alignment
    We review your picture lock, director's notes, and brand guidelines before touching a fader. The spotting session means our creative decisions serve the strategy, not just the moment. Remote via Zoom or Source-Connect. In person when you're in the Bay.
  2. Build — music, dialogue, and SFX in parallel
    No hand-off delays between departments. All audio elements — music, dialogue edit, sound design — are built simultaneously in one session file with one point of contact. Analog warmth through the Neve. Digital precision in the box.
  3. Mix — supervised final mix session
    Your creative team is welcome in the room — at Airship Labs in Richmond or remote via Source-Connect. The best advertising audio happens in dialogue, not through notes on a watermarked MP4. Elad Marish takes the agency jobs personally.
  4. Delivery — versioning, QC, and multi-platform delivery
    Cut-downs, regional variants, and platform-specific deliverables in parallel. Your media buyer, your social team, and your agency producer all get clean, matched files on schedule — no surprises at air.
